Scottish Enterprise - As the lead economic development agency for the area, Scottish Enterprise works with businesses, individuals, communities, educational establishments and other public sector bodies to build a strong and robust economy.

CEC - The City of Edinburgh Council provides a wide range of local and strategic services for Scotland's capital city ranging from education, housing and social care to waste collection, planning and transportation.  With over 17,000 employees, the Council is the second largest employer in the city. Total funding for 2008-09 is £928.0 million, 57% of which comes from Central Government funding, 24% from Council Tax paid by residents in the city and 19% from non-domestic rates.
